Preparation for next trip

It's getting closer and closer to our trip summertrip. Next sunday we're heading towards Germany  - only a week to go. The plan is to go to Kutna Hora in Tjeckia and then head towards the mountain in Austria maybe the valley of Mosel on the way up.....we'll see.
Mikael is getting the bike ready - service is allways in need 😜
 
I've booked the first night in Heiligenhafen in a cute hotel next to the harbour.
 
We wished we could be with the rest of the MTCE-gang in the Hamburg area at the summermeeting but unfortunately one more week to work.
Maybe we will meet some of you when we are crusing around in Europe?
 
Time for me to start clean the windows - boring 😝

Midsommar

En liten udda midsommarstång som prydde vårt matbord 
 
Mys vid lunchen i ett underbart väder och glada vänners lag.
Middag med grillning på kvällen och sen en promenad hem i mörkret.
 
Vad som har hänt med månen vet inte jag 😊
 
 
Nu är det bara knappt 2 veckor kvar att jobba innan det är dags att dra på MC-semester igen. Härligt!

Time flies and another week has past

A whole week and almost a weekend has past sinne last update. Only one week left to midsommar (midsummerfiest) and then 2 more before holiday. It's going to fast. We have at least stared to talk about our summertrip. Probably we head down on the eastside of Germany, a bit in Tjeckia (Kutna Hora), maybe we go back to Auschwitz and then Austria and up in Germany on the westside but it can change 😊
 
this weekend I cut down bushes (it starts to look like a djungle)
 
 
and M decided to paint....
 
 
 
after a good days work a G&T in the sun before a BBQ
 
and with the coffee a Calvados bought on the Normandytrip.
 
Life is good! 
 
Today we are trying to get things done between the rainshowers........

Update - and gardening

Been home for little overklig a week and it's been a lovely summer weather but yesterday and today it's been raining.  Good for the lawn and the plants.
Went into town on Friday for some shopping and this was what I came home with
 
 
And this is some of the results
 
On Thursday it was our nationalday with a traditional cruising, nice to ride when it was warm and sunny

Departureday for us

Friday morning and we are leaving for Brussels while the rest went to Mont St Michel. Thanks for a great meeting 😃 I promised to take the rain with me so I hope you had a nice visit in sun?
 
 
At Brussels airport, repacking and then a long wait for me and Mikael started his journey home. 
 
 
 
 
I arrived at home at 1.30 at night and Mikael came home sunday evening around eight o'clock.
 
 
 
As I've said earlier: This meeting will stay in our minds for a long time. We had so many good laughs and met so wonderful people. We hope to meet you soon again.
Drive safe and put a big smile on your face.

Stage 4 - Cherbourg to Saint-Quentin

Leaving Cherbourg in a bit of rain to drive Tour de Cape. A fantastic drive a long the shoreline on small narrow roads. 
 
 
Time for a visit to Chateau Fort de Pirou

Stage 3 - Caen to Cherbourg

First stop at Arromanches 360 for a film about D-day and the landing. 

 
Next stop Utah beach
 
 
Early evning at the hotel but no bar or restaurant! So together we arrange a bar and a BBQ 😜

Stage 2 - Dieppe to Caen

After a good nights sleep it's time to start the day with breakfast and then a stop at the petrolstation for us who didn't get any petrol last night.
 
 
The trip continued in a beatiful landskapet and fantastic roads and a little bit of rain.
 
 First stop at the Palais Benendictine - closed 5 min before we arrived 😊
the trip continued and finally we arrived at distllery Busnel - Calvados! But first a short trip on a ferry.
 
 
 
Finally at the hotel after a long and nice day. Dinner and bedtime

Stage 1 - Calais to Dieppe

Day 1 - the arrival

Mikael picked me up at Brussels airport and then we drove to Calais. Nice to finally meet everybody and after a couple of drinks we went for dinner and a walk to the harbour.

Dåligt med uppdateringar blev det tyvärr

Jag som hade planer på att försöka uppdatera bloggen längs med vägen i Normandie, men så blev det inte. Några rader på Facebook och bilder där var vad jag hann.
Vi har haft så kul och åkt så bra hojvägar. Fantastiska människor och många skratt. 
Väckarklockan ringde klockan sju och sen var det att packa, äta frukost och klockan nio var det uppsittning på cyklarna. Flera dagar kom vi inte till hotellet förrän kl 20!
 
Idag har jag varit på resande fot sen klockan nio imorse - vi lämnade vid Mont St Michel och körde 58 mil till Bryssel. Packade om och jag bytte kläder. Vinkade av M som skulle köra 20 mil till för att nå Tyskland. Jag tog ett flyg till Köpenhamn kl 20.30 och sen vidare till Arlanda, bil hem och nu är det dags att sova.....tyvärr blev flyget från Köpenhamn försenat som en extra bonus. 
Fick mess från M och han fastnade i bilkö så han har tagit in i Holland för natten. Skönt att veta att det gått bra.
 
Får uppdatera mer imorgon och lägga upp lite bilder.
 
Fantastisk trip och nya vänner, somnar med ett leende på läpparna!
